We are Open Social. We develop online community software (think: your own private Facebook platform) that helps organizations like Greenpeace and the United Nations fulfill their missions.

Open Social is growing fast! Because of the recent 1.25M euro investment from Peak Capital and Nimbus Ventures, we are growing our position and accelerating our rapid growth in Europe and the US. That's why we are looking for a Partner Executive that speaks fluent English and preferably Dutch. As a Partner Executive you are responsible for liaising with existing partners, resellers and partner-clients to grow the business.

What's the job?

We are looking for a Partner Executive to play a key role in growing our partner & reseller network as well as our existing client base from a commercial perspective.

You will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships and support our partners with generating new business. Besides our partners you are required to liaise with our partner-clients to spread the word of Open Social internally.

In this role you have to liaise closely with our Customer Success Managers who maintain the relationships with our existing partner-clients regarding onboarding and day-to-day support. As a Partner Executive you are responsible for the commercial side. 

You will be part of the Sales team where you will primarily work closely with the Account Executives and your colleagues of our Customer Success Team in regards to our existing partner-clients. Also our marketing team is an important stakeholder and you will liaise with them for content that can be used by our partnersDo you accept this challenge 💪🏻?

A bit about us

Open Social empowers people by providing an open-source platform to build online communities of like-minded individuals. Replacing traditional intranets, Open Social fuels bottom-up innovation within organizations.

Early versions of our offering have won the prestigious Dutch Interactive Awards. The project, Greenpeace Greenwire, helps more than 100 000 Greenpeace volunteers bring positive change to the world around the globe. In The Netherlands alone, the software increased volunteering by 600%.

We offer our software in different versions: a free open-source distribution, a fully maintained software-as-a-service, and an enterprise edition. It's built with the platform Drupal, a web technology for creating ambitious digital experiences and has more than a hundred thousand active contributors worldwide. With ambitious new plans in our product roadmap, we aim to decouple our software’s front-end and back-end and create a more customizable and flexible headless platform.

The project is developed by a team of 25 people in The Netherlands and remote across Europe. Our office is based on the old market square in the middle of Enschede and Amsterdam West.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure an increase of the monthly recurring revenue (MRR) by closing new partnerships and growing our existing partner-clients every month;
  • Develop a partnership strategy and a partnership program in collaboration with our Head of Sales;
  • Build a pipeline of partners, by qualifying incoming leads, but also generating leads using your network and attending events/webinars;
  • Build long-term relationships with our partners and transforming the pipeline into an extensive portfolio of signed partners;
  • Help partners with the technical side of the Open Social product: providing demos and answering the most common questions;
  • Turn partners into ambassadors for Open Social, recommending us to their clients and/or adding Open Social in their service offers or portfolios.

The experience you bring to the team

  • 3-5 years working in partnerships roles in the SaaS industry;

  • A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, using creative and adaptive strategies to maximize incoming revenue;

  • Ability to build solid relationships and trust and bring people together;

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) and negotiating skills in Dutch and English.

  • Proven track record in closing strategic partnerships, hitting and exceeding partnerships targets for both enrolling new partners and activating them;

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business and Economics or related;
